My horse Beddie had fallen in the field and suffered serious head injuries including a fractured skull. As well as the neurological problems from the head injury he was also really sore from where he had fallen and after discussing it with my vet she too felt that he might benefit from treatment. I contacted my physiotherapist but she felt that at the time my horse was too unwell to be helped by physiotherapy as it would involve big movements and manipulation but she suggested that he may benefit from CST treatment as it is such a gentle way of treating the horse and Beddie would be able to have treatment even when he was really wobbly and poorly.
At first the biggest difference we noticed was that each treatment seemed to help him get more rest which was great as he was more relaxed and able to cope with his injuries. We saw improvements in all aspects of his recovery following each treatment.
Having been really impressed by the way Beddie had responded to each treatment I ask Paul whether he could help with problems involving my other horses. These have included helping my foal get over her anesthetic after having an operation, working with one of our older horses who had a sore back and also working with my competition horses after a long journey back from Germany. With each horse, Paul has taken the time to make friends and respond to their individual needs.
I look forward to continuing to work with Paul in the future.
